REMEMBER to "Buckle Up" when responding to the
Firehouse and riding in the apparatus!
Safety tips posted by Company Safety Officer Robert Jenkins
Fire Company New Year’s Resolutions:

I will wear all my gear – my PPE – when I’m responding and working at a fire

I will not board the truck until I have my gear on

I will buckle up in the crew cab

I will drive safely when I’m responding to the firehouse for an alarm

If I’m an engineer I will drive safely when responding to an alarm

I will bring any unsafe conditions to the attention of the incident command officer

Even at the firehouse I will bring an unsafe condition to the attention of the ranking officer

I will keep my gloves on during overhaul to prevent injury

I will abide by the two-in two-out rule

Because I owe it to myself, my family and loved ones, I will work to keep myself in shape and physically fit.
Lose some weight – quit smoking.

If I’ve had too much to drink, I will not respond when the alarm sounds.

I will watch out for my brother and sister firefighters to keep them safe from harm
